Just thought I'd pass along a couple of good books I've received as gifts and use regularly. The first is "Big Bob Gibson's BBQ Book" by Chris Lilly. It's a combination of BBQ history, tips, and recipes. I've tried many of the recipes and they translate well to the BKCG.

Second is "On the Grill" by Willie Cooper. Good tips and recipes.

I also caught an episode of "Good Eats" with Alton Brown called "Q" that had a interesting recipe for a Boston Butt using a brine, rub and the low and slow method using a homemade ceramic grill made out of 2 big flower pots and a hotplate. Since you already have a BKCG, the recipe is the only useful part.

We have a small but growing cookbook library here at Bubba HQ, and these are my favorites:

Cook's Illustrated Guide To Grilling And Barbecue - This is an excellent guide for the beginner.  Lots of technique tips.

Serious Barbecue (Lang) - More advanced, but awesome recipes.

Smoke & Spice (Jamison) - An encyclopedia of recipes!  This is my go-to book for ideas.

Plus there are several web sites I go to regularly for advice and inspiration.
