You mean we still have IT in the states?  I thought most of those jobs were moved overseas. 

I'm in IT. Smiley

I'm more like a plumber, making sure the corporate toilets are not clogged up, so the S**T keeps on flowing and the company does not get backed up.
Always tied to the physical world.

It's the software engineers that get outsourced.

As long as you need to keep a connection between here and India or you have servers in the USA you need plumbers.

Some of these companies that are outsourcing will someday find the same Chinese programmers that worked for them using their code in competing products.

I manage a small IT group in a big company, take care of 250 users,
Mostly deal with end users at this job.
Always putting out fires.

I too am in IT. I work for a software company that sells a software as a service (Saas) online.
However, I have moved over to ther dark side and am now in software sales...  Roll Eyes
